Have you listened to the sound of the bamboo flute called "xiao"?  

  A "xiao" is a Chinese bamboo recorder that sounds soft, graceful, delicate and meditative.  
　It's a musical instrument that can express our rich mental world,  

  the world of mountains, rivers, plants and also mysterious worlds of land scape. 

  The sound talks to the trees, whisper to the birds  

  and can offer the light of love and peace to people. 

  It is the sounds of the light.  

  The sound of the xiao is the wind, water, earth, the sound of fire and the sound of the human mind.  

  This is the "xiao"

  The xiao is a simple bamboo flute with holes on it  

  like a Japanese transverse bamboo flute (shinobue) and a shakuhachi.  

  As it has got eight holes on it, you can play comparatively easier than you play a shakuhachi or a shinobue.  

  The sound of the xiao combines both the sound of shinobue and shakuhachi   

  and has a wider range of genres, you can play pop music, classic and jazz.

　Through the sound of the xiao, the human mind at peace   

  become the voice of the heart and soul (Kotodama) and songs 

  become the sound of the heart and soul(Otodama),  

  then they echo in nature.  
  Birds come close to me while playing the xiao in the woods. They may feel my heart and soul.

  Being fascinated with the sound of xiao, I have already made more than 150 pieces of musical score  

  in the various genres for xiao.  I have made scores in pop music, classic, Irish, jazz, children's music,  

  Japanese enka songs, music of shakuhachi and shinobue (folk songs, Komuso shakuhachi and traditional music), 

  Chinese passed down pieces of music, Ghibli animation songs and others.  

  I guess there is only a few xiao players in Japan and I am happy if more people enjoy xiao.
